Your mission: keep users hooked with push notifications and emails that feel helpful (and sometimes even delightful), not spammy. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Plan & launch recurring and one-off push/email campaigns (US time zones, quiet hours) for several Android/iOS apps.
- Personalize by behavior and stage; use deep links and in-app messages when useful.
- Optimize with A/B tests and small control groups; tune subjects, preheaders, timing, and frequency; watch deliverability.
- Design lifecycle programs: onboarding, abandonment reminders, reactivation/win-back; for iOS subscriptions—trial ending nudges, first-payment/renewal support, billing retry/grace saves, churn win-back.
- Segment & automate: build clean segments; set up automated flows (welcome, N-day inactivity, pre/post-renewal, reactivation).
- Report & learn: weekly/monthly metrics, highlight drop-offs, propose next experiments.
- Set up & maintain email foundation: choose ESP, configure domain auth, warm up, templates, preference center, suppression lists.
- Keep data healthy: maintain event/tag schema with devs; enforce frequency caps, quiet hours, and cross-channel de-dupe.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- Mobile CRM / Push: OneSignal hands-on; basics of FCM/APNs; understands notification permissions, channels, and quiet hours on iOS/Android.
- Email basics: ESPs (SendGrid/SES/Mailgun), domain auth (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), list hygiene, handling bounces/complaints, inbox placement awareness.
- Campaign management: Segmentation by behavior/lifecycle, US time-zone scheduling, A/B tests with small control groups, frequency caps; balancing push vs. email.
- Data & analytics: Track opt-in, open, CTR, conversion to submit/re-apply, D1/D7/D30 return, churn/uninstall; for subscriptions—trial-to-paid, renewals, churn/reactivation. Strong Google Sheets; SQL is a plus.
- Subscriptions know-how: Use subscription events (trial ending, renewal, billing retry/grace) to trigger messages (e.g., via RevenueCat or server notifications).
- Copywriting & briefing: Short, clear US-English for push/email; personalization; simple briefs for HTML email templates.
- Compliance: CAN-SPAM, user consent & easy unsubscribe; Apple/Google/OneSignal rules; safe wording; proper disclaimers.
- Tracking & deep links: UTMs; deep/universal links to the right screen; align with analytics (Firebase/Amplitude/Mixpanel). MMPs (AppsFlyer/Adjust) are a plus.
- Personal qualities:
- Attention to detail: Rigorous pre-send QA (segments, links, quiet hours, rendering).
- Structured thinking: Plans multi-step flows and a cross-app messaging calendar.
- Data-driven ownership: Decisions from user behavior; accountable for channel KPIs end-to-end.
- Initiative & proactivity: Spots onboarding/reactivation gaps and proposes testable fixes.
- Communication skills: Clear briefs/tickets; smooth collaboration with product, design, engineering, and BI.
- Adaptability: Switches tone and priorities across Android fintech apps and iOS subscription apps.
- Compliance mindset: Platform- and risk-aware in regulated contexts.
- Speed with accuracy: Moves fast without sacrificing QA.
