WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Conducting functional testing using test design techniques.
- Analyzing requirements to understand not only what to test but why.
- Creating clear and structured bug reports.
- Communicating with developers, managers, and designers—translating between technical and non-technical language.
- Gradually transitioning to writing automated tests after internal training.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:
- You can prove to a developer that it’s a bug, not a feature.
- You don’t buy into “it works on my machine” and know how to demonstrate otherwise.
- You know SQL at a CRUD level and can quickly find the data you need.
- You’re proficient with DevTools and understand what’s happening there.
- You can distinguish #778899 from #708090—details matter.
- You understand HTML and CSS—you know HEAD isn’t just a body part.
- You speak two languages: that of developers and managers.
- HTTP, HTTPS, API, JSON, and status codes are more than just acronyms to you.
- You can test on any OS—Windows, macOS, or mobile.
- You love uncovering the unexpected and describing it clearly and concisely.
- You have a sense of humor and keep a cool head, even under tight deadlines.
