What you’ll be focusing on:
- Designing and executing comprehensive test cases for payment flows and backend services.
- Performing thorough API testing for internal services and external integrations.
- Validating data integrity across databases (Postgres, Clickhouse, OpenSearch).
- Testing payment routing logic, cascading scenarios, and retry mechanisms.
- Verifying subscription billing flows and recurring payment handling.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects with clear reproduction steps.
- Participating in requirement clarification and providing testability feedback.
- Conducting regression testing for releases and hotfixes.
You are our ideal candidate if you:
- 2+ years of experience in manual testing within the fintech domain.
- Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals: test design techniques, test case management, bug lifecycle.
- Strong knowledge of API testing - experience with REST APIs, understanding of request/response structures, status codes, and authentication methods.
- Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, or similar).
- Good understanding of SQL - can write queries to validate data, check transaction states, and verify payment flows in Postgres.
- Familiarity with payment gateway flows: authorization, capture, refunds, chargebacks, 3DS authentication.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Experience with test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar).
- Knowledge of web application testing basics - browsers, network tools, dev console.
- Understanding of PCI-DSS requirements and compliance testing is a plus.
