Head of Engineering

We are seeking a Head of Engineering to take full ownership of the entire development domain and become one of the key drivers of the company’s growth.

This role influences every aspect of the company—from technical decisions to strategy. Your actions will shape where we stand in 3–5 years, and in collaboration with product and marketing teams, you’ll work alongside the engineering team to create the best solutions for business growth 🚀

We are Honeytech, the world’s only non-Asian vertically integrated platform for the production and distribution of webtoon comics, already holding a leading position in our niche. Over the past 3 years, we’ve built a team of top professionals, growing over 20x, and we plan to double our size this year. That’s why we’re looking for an ambitious and proactive colleague to join us. We’ve been profitable for a long time and are now in the scaling phase.

Remote Full-Time | Engineer

Quality and velocity of development—ensuring a stable pace of task delivery without compromising quality, implementing best engineering practices.
Effective collaboration with stakeholders—clear communication with product, marketing, and design teams to keep all processes synchronized.
Platform stability—maintaining high uptime and performance, ensuring the site runs smoothly and remains “fast & seamless” for users.
Team development—hiring top talent, supporting their growth, fostering motivation, and creating an environment where people want to work and evolve.

Have experience as a Team Lead, Tech Lead, CTO, or Head of Engineering—able to organize team workflows for speed and alignment.
Are well-versed in both frontend and backend development (PHP, Python, Go).
Understand databases (MySQL) and cloud services.
Have a strong grasp of DevOps, QA, and delivery processes, and can communicate fluently across all technical roles.
Have worked with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and know how to make a team highly effective.
Can support, motivate, and help your team grow while maintaining a sharp focus on results.
