What you’ll be focusing on:
- To build and later lead our commercial function.
- New merchant acquisition across the EU, UK, US, UA and LATAM.
- Lead generation: outbound, partnerships, ISV and platform channels, events.
- The Account Management function — retention, expansion, processed-volume growth, and the authorisation-rate value we deliver to merchants.
- Commercial process: ICP, playbooks, pricing discipline, CRM hygiene.
- Forecasting of sales and growth in turnover.
- Hiring and coaching as the function grows.
- Platform growth commitments and targets fulfilments.
You are our ideal candidate if you:
- Fintech understanding, auth-rate and routing narrative, writing playbooks.
- Interchange and scheme economics, bank/acquirer relationships, pricing understanding.
- Built pipeline/function from nothing; can name the first touch, the first playbook, the first hire.
- Understands orchestration levers; auth-rate diagnosis; current VAMP thresholds; MID/acquirer landscape.
- Subscription metrics (MRR, involuntary churn, dunning), SaaS-merchant understanding.
- Retention, expansion, QBRs, portfolio metrics, TPV growth.
- Merchant sales or general B2B sales understanding.
- Retention, expansion, QBRs, portfolio metrics, TPV growth.
- Self-sourced and closed complex merchant deals; holds a price floor.
- Treats risk as commercial design; knows what they would decline.
- Hired, coached, and corrected a mis-hire.
