Your area of impact:
- Develop and maintain ELT processes for collecting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into BigQuery.
- Create and develop a dbt project to build data models (stage, base, intermediate, dimension, and report layers) used for analytics and reporting.
- Optimize pipeline performance, SQL queries, and data models.
- Validate, test, and ensure data quality across all stages of the pipeline.
- Set up monitoring and alerting for data pipelines and key infrastructure components.
- Integrate data from various sources (mobile applications, financial and marketing systems), including APIs and external services.
- Collaborate with analysts to ensure data is well-structured, user-friendly, and aligned with analytical needs.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation related to data architecture, ELT processes, and dbt models.
- Work with tools such as SQL, Python, dbt, and GCP cloud services to build and support data pipelines.
You’re our perfect match if:
- You have 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a related role with a strong focus on pipeline development and data modeling.
- You have deep knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries, query optimization, and understanding Data Warehousing principles.
- You have practical experience with BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or other analytical data warehouses.
- You have hands-on experience with dbt, including testing, documentation, and CI/CD integration.
- You have experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines.
- You have strong Python skills for integrations, automation, and data processing.
- You confidently use Git and have experience working with GitHub/GitLab.
- You have experience working with GCP or other cloud platforms.
- You are detail-oriented, have strong problem-solving skills, and take ownership of results.
- You have experience collaborating with analysts and understanding business data needs.
- Nice to have:
- Experience optimizing cost efficiency and query performance in cloud environments.
- Experience working with real-time / streaming data solutions.
- Ability to clearly explain technical solutions to stakeholders.
