Data Engineer (Fintech project)
- We’re building a full-stack fintech platform for any type of online business, combining a gateway, PSP, ISO, Fraud detection, CB prevention alerts, and acquiring capabilities. There are no handoffs, no BS, and just one team that handles everything related to the Payments domain.
- Early-stage, real product, real volume, and the kind of architecture you won’t get to touch inside a big corporation.
- We’re hiring a Data Engineer to help us lay the foundation for how we manage and share data — both with internal teams and with our clients.
- This is a great fit for someone with a strong analytical mind, a bit of technical curiosity, and a hunger to grow. You don’t need to have years of experience — you just need the drive to learn and the discipline to make sense of complexity.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Work with product, engineering, and leadership to define what data matters.
- Create clear, useful dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Help structure data so it’s ready for future use cases and integrations.
- Explore datasets, clean inconsistencies, and spot emerging patterns.
- Draft early data documentation and definitions — set the tone for clarity.
- Support our goal of building data as a product — user-first, trustworthy, and evolving.
WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- Hands-on with a modern EL/T pipeline: Airbyte, Fivetran, Singer, etc.
- SQL fluency plus solid scripting in Python or dbt.
- Comfortable in AWS (IAM, S3, ECS; Glue a bonus).
- Can turn messy, half-baked questions into dashboards people actually use.
- Proven star-schema design and other dimensional-model techniques.
- Daily driver of dbt + Airflow + Postgres/ClickHouse (or similar columnar store).
- Data-quality hawk: familiar with dbt-elementary / dbt-expectations.
- Translate business metrics (authorisation rate, chargeback %, churn, cost) into models and stories non-tech teammates understand.
- Clear communicator who asks good questions and presents simple insights.
